Pullet or cockerel - 6 weeks old tomorrow.

I have five chickens of various breeds/mixes and I’m trying to figure out who is a roo since I can’t keep them in my city. I got them all at 1 day old and they will be 6 weeks old tomorrow. I’ll sort them by color and their names in parens with the breed/mix below.

Red and white (Twitch): Welsummer/White Plymouth Rock

Black (Runty): Black copper maran/crested cream legbar

White (Winnie): Amber Link

Grey or blue (Greygirl): Blue copper maran

Brown stripey (Amy Winehouse): Crested cream legbar (which should be a hen but I figure I’d throw her in there just in case since I think my “sexlinks” could be questionable. Also, why is she not developing a crest yet?!)

Thanks for looking! I am hoping at least three are hens but feeling very iffy about it. I’d love to hear any reasons why you think one way or the other. And I know it’s a bit early but I’m dying to know and find myself going back and forth constantly!

All look good for pullets right now, but watch the white one. Its comb is a bit pink. If a cockerel, it will be that one.

I noticed that the white one’s comb was looking a bit pink today, but no more so than the white and red one. Of course those two are my two sex links!
Those two are the ones I’m watching closely - mostly because their combs developed the quickest but they’re also supposed to be hens. Comb wise, the cream legbar is minimal (expected) and the grey one is fairly small too. The black chicken is throwing me because it’s been the runt the whole time. Always smaller, less feathered, and it’s an olive egger that they claimed “they could tell” the sex of by color but I call BS. It has no tail yet, but neither does my cream legbar

These two are my supposed sex links (according to the hatchery)… and they’ve got the reddest combs of them all! I’m not convinced, but I sure hope you’re right!

My sex link looks like the one on the right but mines comb is bigger and she is 9 weeks old.

Time for a 7 week old photo update! (I know they haven’t changed dramatically, but I’m also doing this to be able to watch the progression as they age.)
