Purple feet and bumblefoot

I have used amoxicillin, but it still takes a long time for this to clear up, and then that bird may become prone to it in the future. It's not like chickens can exactly stay off of their feet while healing.

This info is on the web...
Bacteria, including staphylococcus spp. have been identified in some rare cases of bumblefoot, if the wound has not been noticed and treated before it becomes acute. Typically antibiotics, such as erythromycin or penicillin, are prescribed by the vet, if the infection is serious enough.

(Something is going on with my idiot phone so forgive me if this posts more than once but I hit post and it jumps back as if it is not posted...darn phone! Phone is not smart today!)
Its no longer just bumble foot. I think I wasn't prepared enough when I did the surgery and it got more infected.
