Congratulations!!!

Here's a tip for you... go to HD or Lowes to the commercial desk, apply for a commercial credit card acct. (make up a farm name)
The delivery fee is only 20$ vs 60$.

Or just rent a truck at U-haul for 20$

Now the fun starts!

how exciting.

my parents just officially put an offer in on the house today. we just got home from signing a bunch of papers. there were multiple offers, but we were first in line!!!

This is just the kind of news I was hoping for!

Just woke up 'cuz the meds wore off from getting my bottom wisdoms out... look up ow in the dictionary and you see my mouth. Popped a pill and trying to wait for it to kick in and I swear to you that ache just eased up a notch or three seeing this fabulous news.

Is this a great site or what! Thankee for sharing your news... definitely improved my day.

We are having issues with closing costs and other companies, like the guy who does the 'title work' etc. They are jacking up the price and trying to screw us over....8k for it all, the homepath co is also oddly low on their side, they usually add 4-5%, only did 2% for us.
It's not looking good....

They got our side down to 5k, 9-10k total...I really don't get why it's so expensive.
I'll be hopefully able to save up 1,600-2k by the time we close, Kyle will need to save the rest. But he makes like 3x more than me, though he has debt, while I don't.
They are redoing our contract also.
With this insane wind we are having, I'm real worried about all those dead trees next to the house. While I was there, branches fell on the roof. Trees in our yard here keep falling, a huge branch fell from one of them. Our fireplace cover also came off the chimney. Don't want to drive past and find a tree sticking out of the roof and it's too late to back out!

Everyone hope no trees fall on the house!!

secuono,

Don't be "frettin' ".

Almost ALL "new buyers" are afflicted with what is called "Buyer's Remorse"....It is a psychological reaction to a "change of circumstances". AFTER you are settled into your NEW HOME and realize that it is YOURS and the Landlord can't "raise-the-Rent..."Boot-you-Out"... or otherwise "Dictate-your-Life"...You'll be HAPPY about it all..........except when the toilet plugs up and you must fix it yourself !

Ha-Ha !!!

Just don't forget WHY you wanted the "freedom" of your OWN PLACE to begin with.....not to mention the "tax-advantages".

It'll be fine after you get "settled-in".
