Question about nonslip surface in the incubator

Hi, this is my first incubation. I didn't realize I was supposed to put a nonslip surface in the incubator. I raised humidity yesterday for lockdown, day 20. Will they hurt their feet when they hatch? Bobwhite quail chicks. Also, would it hurt to open the incubator for a second to slip a mat in there?

I'm assuming they are wire or plastic? Then no it shouldn't hurt their feet.

It won't hurt to open incubator and add a non slip pad..
