Here's another picture. He has "eyebrows?" If you enlarge it you can see the feathers just above his eyes towards his beak are long and growing upward.

Considering Quinn, and your other BR from the same breeder that has a rose comb, you have to wonder if this breeder just thinks that because a chicken is black and white it is Barred Rock? I wonder what her breed description of Barred Rock is. I swear half the staff at our TSC thinks there are five kinds of chicks, White Leghorns, broilers, RIR, BR, and Bantys.. little yellow ones, big yellow ones, red ones, black ones and tiny ones.

LOL that is too funny! And sad all at the same time since people are not getting what they think they are getting.

I thought the same thing, that maybe she was sold chickens/chicks that are barred and she thinks they are all BRs? Maybe she was even told that is what they are. You would think one would start to question it though if there is such a difference in their look or the look of their offspring.

Oh well, I love him regardless and I can't wait to see how he turns out.
