This morning my bantams baby chick died...
The moment that I saw the poor thing I burst out into tears ( not that I am the emotional type ). I let the chickens out to free range so they wouldn't peck at it anymore. I got a shovel and when I came back the rooster was pecking at it again. 
Upon further investigation I found a little hole that it could get through that I didn't see and s/he must have fit through it a gone outside into the big chickens coop. I feel like I should just stop trying to hatch my own eggs because it just ends in tears or anger.... Everything has gone wrong! R.I.P little one...
