Haha no, I adopted 7 hens and the hen in the pic got into a squabble with them through the chicken wire. They tore off a piece of her wattle. So I sprayed her with Blukote. The new hens have Blukote on them too, in different places to tell them apart.

19weeks +3days We have our First Egg

7am Have a Great Sunday-- the hens are 20 weeks old-- We got one egg on Monday- one one Tuesday-- and one on Saturday--

Well all the hens are ,as of Thursday the 18th 21 weeks old - only one is laying. This week 2 started the "Squat" so I feel the will be laying this coming week. 3 are still growing out their comb- And BOY do I feel bad for the one "They" deem the runt of the pecking order.

Sun Light Last Sunday the 14th. I have the light on a timer to come on at 7am and it goes off at 9am. I t is a bit darker this Sunday the 21st. I am going to leave the timer set as is when we "Fall Back" but I may add an hour in the evening. The light comes on at 3:50 and off at 7pm as of now-- so when we "Fall Back" it will be 2:50 to 7pm. It gets dark in the way north - PNW (pacific north west ) AND--- It is now 7:03 and DARK-- JOY!
