Good morning, Day 20 for broody chick#1,
I candled her 6 eggs, could see a heart beet in 2 and iffy on the third--3 were a definite no-go-I set the brooder panels up yesterday and they worked great,
I'll get a pic after COFFEE

I have a third hen that wants to be broody,,, So Yes Welsummers go broody

Its day 21 for broody hen #1's eggs,, I am going to just let them be and re-candle them if they havent hatched by saturday.
If they turn out to be a no-go I can always give hen #1 2 of broody hen #2's, 2 eggs dated the 9th of June, the other 4 are dated the 10th of June.
AND- if hen #!'s eggs are a no go by Saturday and hen #3 is still interested I'll give her 3 eggs on Saturday the24th.

Rooster has not been very understanding, he wants to [control/make them submit] and he is not being nice about it, I have read it is how some roosters are, so it just take extra supervision.
