O'Dark 30 is dark 30, I am sure the hens are wondering why the door hasn't been opened yet :lau
When I do open the coop I find 4 or 5 hens wandering around in the dark, sometimes they get lucky and sniff out a little black
beetles that I have seen around poo, but when I turn the light on the scramble

:cafChickens at 5 am,
The run is so muddy! The hens were just drenched yesterday.
I go out at 5 and open the coop door, scoop all the nights poop up. Having sand on the floor is so nice and easy to keep clean.

OK everybody out

the 2 big ones in the back are from 2 of the Older White Leghorns, (1yr 6months old , they started laying Oct. 17 2020 )

I am not sure but I dont thin Granny the 3yr old laid, maybe??? she started laying Nov. 8th 2018 and has always laid, non stop up until this molt, she needed a break.
