What is so funny is that people who have weird ideas are so confident about them. It is so scary!!
I grew up hunting and people would freak out about the fact that we ate deer or elk. Now they are freaking out about the eggs. "Eww, you eat the eggs?"

I love that people hold so strongly to the sales pitches of the grocery store eggs. They want to know if my chickens are vegetarians. "No. Chickens are not vegetarians. They eat bugs, worms, lizards and anything else they can get their little beaks on!" This freaks many out. "Ewww, they eat bugs!!!??"

I had a lady find out I have some bluish/green eggs and said, "Oh, Martha Stewart has those and they have less cholesterol... can I buy some of those?"

She didn't see me roll my eyes.


BTW: I hear that in New Zealand, they only like brown colored eggs. They think the white ones look sickly. Truth!
