rare breeds?

I'm going to start raising chickens again now that I'm settling down. I wanna work on some the rarer breeds. So far I'm possibly considering lavender orpington, silver sussex, coronation sussex, lemon cuckoo orpington, blue laced red wyandotte. What other breeds or rare colors could I consider?

IMO,
Self Blue (Lavender) Orpingtons, Lemon Cuckoo Orpingtons and Blue Laced Red Wyandottes aren't "rare" since they haven't been out that long.
saladin started a thread some tome back that had some rare breeds in it here is the starting list.

Malays
Old English (Large Fowl)
Nankins

Creves
LaFleche
Houdan
Java
Polish
Red Caps
Shamo
Sussex
Cubalaya
Delaware
Holland

I will also add
Rhode Island Red (rose and single comb)
Rhode Island White

Breeds listed above are non-hatchery birds.
