Real Men Wear Skin Lotion.....right?

There are some etailers who make lotions that can be scented like beer, motor oil (I've smelled this one- it's spot on), all kinds of stuff like that, as well as nice men's cologne. There are tons of choices for really good lotions in lots of different scents, but they're not on the shelves of your local Walgreens. Most are happy to make an unscented lotion as well.

My husband is a diesel mechanic and his hands were so dry and cracked open a few years back that we actually asked our DR about what to use, his reply was....read the label, most lotions/creams the first ingredient is petroleum (vaseline) he suggested that hubby put a good amount of vaseline on his hands, put socks or white cotton gloves on and go to sleep.

Its sure not manly looking when I rolled over to see him sleeping with socks on his hands, but OMG did his hands heal up quick and stop cracking when he does this a few times a week!

What I use is the stuff you get at the Farm supply.
It is called udder balm. ....yep thats what its for.

What I can say is it works. I have been using it for at least 20 yrs.
I work outside in Construction and every guy on my crew uses my jar.
The wife takes a small container to work and the girls there, use it up.
And the best part is....it smells good...

Like soap, nothing un manly.

just my .02

Bag balm is the "Balm". Ha ha... But in a pinch, a touch olive oil now and then does wonders and it don't smell like perfume. Skin loves cholesterol. For chapped hands, Mayonaise works as good as anything, but don't think Miracle whip would do the same.
If that ain't manly enough, mix bear fat with some bacon grease... LOL...

Hubby uses "Utterly Smooth" bag balm, Gold Bond Triple, or Johnson's Baby Lotion. Yeah, yeah, but the baby lotion smells "clean" not flowery or anything. Corn Huskers's is good too.

My problem is my feet. They are always cold so I have socks of some kind on at all times whick seems to draw the moisture out of them. After showering, I slather them in Vaseline and put thick socks on. They are 100% better than they were in October!

Jack Black (get jack black .com, or jackblack.com, I think) stuff is great. I even use the lip stuff and hand stuff, but it is made for guys. Spendy but worth it.

Real men clean their hands with WD-40 and use Bag-Balm as lotion. Winter skin splits are fixed with SuperGlue.

P.S. I'm not gonna shave my Head, I'm going for the "Riff-Raft" skullet look.

The truth, revealed! My DH has nothing against lotion as long as I'm rubbing it on him.

His shoulders and the back of his arms get really dry in the winter and I use cocoa butter lotion on him....probably helps that he loves chocolate, so smelling like it doesn't seem to bother him.
