It was going towards the coop, but he was walking out in the dark and the snake wasn't happy.

Oh wow!

@FortCluck I feed my cornsnake f/t small adult mice, 1-2 mice every 1-2 weeks depending on the season and his activity level. He's not big enough for anything more substantial than that!

Is he a baby? :love

I got a snake and they fed it live mice and the mouse literally killed my snake! I was so mad! I'll never feed live again if I ever got another snake.

A mouse killed a snake!? OMG that’s awful!!!

@FortCluck oh man I'm so sorry :(. That's exactly why I always recommend people only use dead (whether f/t or fresh-killed) or stunned prey with their reptiles. I know some people are all about the 'mental stimulation' from having to actively hunt prey, but there's plenty of ways to provide enrichment for a snake without putting it in physical danger.

@KDOGG331 No actually he's a senior citizen! Noodle's 15 years old, he's my oldest pet. He's just a small male cornsnake who can't take larger prey :).

Aww that’s adorable!! :love

@KDOGG331 I take it you've never been bitten by a small rodent before :p. Their skulls are designed to gnaw through just about anything. Snake flesh is nothing compared to hard woods and plastics.

Nope! Never! Thankfully lol but very true! I guess if they can chew through feed bags then they can hurt a snake ha
