Yes, they are lots of work. My birb is only 5, haha. Parakeets would be the best option for a shorter lifespan.

I have lots of animals... 5 dogs, a cat, 3 lizards, fish, 12 coturnix quail, 30 something chickens, a turkey, and a duck... we will be adding more once we buy land

I have 1 dog, 3 cats, 15 chickens, 2 ducks, 1 leopard gecko, and 1 cockatiel. I will be adopting more hens soon and maybe some pigeons.

I want a savannah monitor... if I have my way I should have it fairly soon! Just need to get a big tank to start her in then we will make her a big outdoor enclosure. That goes inside and outside.
