Reptile Photos! **DUW**

Nah, your rosy should be feeding on large pinkies no problem. Also just have to say, that looks like he/she might be skinny, judging from the second picture. It should be eating at least one large pink every week. Gorgeous snake, though!

I got looking around and found some old webcam pictures of my African fat-tailed gecko back when he was still around. Sorry that they are blurry.

Here is a turtle that my dad found in the yard one day that I wanted to keep so bad but he said I had to many pets. Had a chin chilla, drawf hamster, my gecko, dog, and a tank full of guppies at the time. Don't know why he would think I had to many pets.

I was amazed by the size of the turtle though. Don't remember what type my dad said it was.

What a handsome fellow. Since you called him an extreme giant I take it you bought from Bobby? Varnyard Herps? I know him, and Rick (another Tegu breeder) personally.

I've taken a break from the reptile world here lately, but used to be big time in there. May get back into it soon, thinking about dabbling in boas.

Yep, Beauregard is a varnyard boy, got him from Bobby. Looking to get a red this year.

Oh my. We are freakin out a bit here. The Rosy was supposed to be fed yesterday according to the pet store we got it from. They were feeding it live pinkies, so we went and got 1. put the rosy in the bag with the pinkie as we were told to do. The Rosy has no interest. I finally let the snake out of the bag this morning in the tank, though it still has access to the pinkie. The pinkie is still alive, but probably not for long. Just called the store and they said it could be up to 2 weeks before it will eat.

. I'm not used to a pet that won't eat on a daily basis much less take that long. Someone needs to tell me all will be ok. Or tell me how to get it to eat. Why did I let my DS get a snake?!

Froggie,

It sounds completely normal. How long has it been since you got it? It's best not to feed the snake for 7 or so days and do not touch it. I would wait another 5-7 days and try feeding it again and see how that goes.

Good luck!

Froggie don't worry. They can go MONTHS without food. I know someone who's snake got out and lived almost a YEAR under the fridge before they caught it! It's perfectly normal for snakes to not want to eat for a week, or two, or more, at a time, and they'll be juuuuust fine.

Not really. Though mine will come out more when I'm by their cage. Like, Cornelius comes out and stalks my hand through the glass (silly boy). But most don't do that, he's more used to people than most.
