all puppets!!! regardless of party affiliation...

But Herman Cain is NOBODY'S puppet. He's never held a political office. Just turned around lots of companies. Google him.

Herman Cain was chairman of the Federal Reserve too

And once you become a candidate, sorry, you're someone's puppet.

...Ron Paul is none of the things you just described. If he doesn't win the presidency, he's not going to run for any Federal office. He's not business as usual. His view is the realistic view - he's been proven right over and over. Rick Perry and Mitt Romney are both business as usual candidates, and all the others don't go far enough. I agree that the system is broken (Dr. Paul won't get elected due to the Republican machine, I'll bet), but I want to give it one more election before I give up all hope. Yes, contrary to what many people think, I still have a tiny little microscopic grain of hope for this country. If he gets elected, obviously that won't make everything perfect, in fact there'll be a lot of temporary pain (it's called an economic correction - it's rather like ripping a band-aid off to disinfect a cut) even if Congress goes along with him, but it WILL show that Americans have finally woken up and have figured out that almost all politicians are what you described in your above post.

I agree with you on Ron Paul. He is the only one of all the candidates that has a 20 yr. record to prove what he says. The only way he can save this country from complete distruction is to have a Tea Party Congress to help him. I get all my news info on the internet as the public media is owned & controlled by the big corps. that want to own us all. The main thing the public media does, other than Hollywood gossip, is to do stories on the candidates that they want elected. Take a look at the time the debates give to Perry, Romney vs. Ron Paul. Perry & Romney get about 15 min. & Paul is lucky to get 4 min. Plus they are afraid to ask Paul important questions or better yet, they are afraid of his answer. As for defending this country, Paul just wants to get our fighting troops out of other countries, not disbanding our fighting force. Maybe puting them to guard our borders.

Our BIG problem is the people (sheep), they believe what they hear & see on public media. They are spoiled rotten. I really hope they wake up before the Federal Govt. takes all of our freedoms from us. They need to get the news from the internet. Thank You for letting me say my mind, A True Texan.

That isn't ture. It's not possible for every one in politics to be a "puppet".

I agree to an extent, but I don't trust anyone who's been associated with the Federal Reserve. Even worse, he's apparently all for continuing to increase defense spending - despite the fact that, if I'm not mistaken, we're spending MORE than we were spending at the height of the Cold War, when there was an ACTUAL threat.

whoever gets nominated has got to be someone who appeals to the centrist, the independents, the decline to state individuals, because that is who decides elections!! the people on the left are not going to change, neither are those on the right... you may not agree with this nominee, there will be several things you will disagree on, and i'm ok with that as long as he is able to unseat the incumbent. otherwise the good USA will be known as the USSA...

From 1992 to 1996, Cain served as a director of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City first as deputy chairman and then as chairman of the Board. There are 12 regional Federal Reserve banks in the U.S.
