Do you have another breed you prefer? Just curious.

Australian shepherd. Although Jack Russell's are pretty high up cause of the loyalty.

The "dumb" labs are almost always ones that are either very poorly bred or were taken from the litter to late.

Seven weeks is the magic age to pull a pup.

I know about chickens and other avians. Dogs aren't a thing for me, other than some breeds do interest me, and I like dogs a lot more than cats! So . . . I really don't have an opinion here, but if I did, I would probably pick Retrievers.

Most ethical breeders wont let a puppy go at 7 weeks. We wouldnt have gotten Denver at 8 weeks unless she was the one jumping out of the gates...

Yeah true and a lot now are keeping them till 10-12 weeks even which I think is a little late but idk. But a lot of the field dog breeders are still letting them go at 7-8 weeks

They are cute and very sweet. I just personally would never want one.

The neighbor's male English Springer is super adorable but he is unbearable for the first hour after anyone new comes. They've tried lots of things to train it out of him but he just can't help it.

Again, totally understandable! For example, I'd probably never get a retriever. Too much energy, and for most of them I don't love their looks. I also do love independent dogs a lot more. It's all a matter of personal preference

Also Brew is fine with the cat who is small and fluffy and probably close to Cav size so that’s even more proof he’d be fine hahah

They wanted to keep Denver till 8 weeks. And we got Tucker at 10 weeks.
Id rather get them at 8 weeks than 10 to 12.
