Thats definitely something to look into. My only concern would he that fresh chips, (not aged) would be to hard on the ducks feet since its a duck run. The aged chips are at least aged and softer.Looks like you have a decent sized yard so if there's a spot you don't mind having chips dumped on, I'd see if any local tree companies would be willing to do that (either for free or for gas money). At least in my area, tree trucks have "Call for free chips" stickers on the back.
