I'm getting quite worried about her. Her sister broke but Wrold is still going. You are doing a great job keeping track of her. She will break eventually. Stay on her. She is such a pretty lady too.
She's been trying it on for a while now, hasn't she?I'm getting quite worried about her. Her sister broke but Wrold is still going.![]()
Yep. I think we're well past 21 days. I really, really don't want to do chicks. I'm not set up for it & have my hands full with the little pullets. She's been trying it on for a while now, hasn't she?
I wasn't going to suggest it. But I'm surprised how long she's persisting!Yep. I think we're well past 21 days. I really, really don't want to do chicks. I'm not set up for it & have my hands full with the little pullets.
Oh, I didn't think you were!I wasn't going to suggest it. But I'm surprised how long she's persisting!
I'd be at the end of my tether in your shoes. You're doing great.Oh, I didn't think you were!It has crossed my mind once or twice but it's a really bad idea! I can't believe her either! She was absolutely ravenous last night but she is now getting pecked any time she's out in the run. Only herself to blame but the other chooks have very decided ideas about where she should be! She managed to snuggle everybody's eggs under herself yesterday before I got home to deal with her!!!

You could dog crate her like I did Maleficent. That worked great and was quick. She was still "with" the flock.I'm getting quite worried about her. Her sister broke but Wrold is still going.![]()
You're a good, long suffering Chicken Mum Ribh. ❣We have chooks all over the place. We were out today so Wrold nested undisturbed. When I went to throw her up on a roost for the night I found her crop completely empty!Mad!
So I dragged her inside & fed her her dinner with added vitamins & got her to drink a little water before tucking her up on a roost with Medh. Such a silly girl. She was absolutely ravenous But went to bed with a nice full crop. She decided that she needed to roost on my arm to eat, which was jolly uncomfortable all round.

Here she is spooking about a cat. The cat couldn't have been less interested.
