Ribh's D'Coopage

Is there a memorandum for chickens that says they can't go to bed early? We have a massive storm breaking over our heads & both my crazy lots are huddled under the coop rather than going to bed early where it's nice & dry!
Yes absolutely. You should have been copied on it - probably just an error if you missed it. The memorandum covers other essential chicken rules like you must always drink from the dirtiest source of water available; you must always stick together except when your human wants to round you up in which case you must scatter in as many different directions as possible; and of course you must always lay your egg in the same box as your friends even if that means all piling in at once (the only allowable exception being when you lay it in a place that is completely impossible to find).
I am sure if you ask nicely one of your ladies will show you a copy.

He is amazing. So adorable. How is Scooby doing with him?

Josh is still in isolation in my bedroom. Scooby knows there is someone else in there and he wants to come in. He's very curious and when the time comes, I'm sure they will get along just fine.

No problems Michelle. I would never assume one of us was being insensitive ~ just hasn't arrived yet. :hugsWe all struggle to keep up on these threads. She had a great life & extended by many months. I was surprised to lose her because the vet seemed fairly confident but that's chickens for you!

:hugs

There is a memo about getting humans wet and cold. Anyway you can do it! It includes not going to bed, hiding under the deck, screaming at all hours, etc.

Tribe 2 are like that! Tribe 1 will go into their coop very early if it's a bad weather day and not come out in a rush in the mornings either.
Tribe 3 take up residence in the car port usually but they'll still go in early.
Not Tribe 2. I've even shoved them out of the magnolia tree in some storms.

I'm not sure which one of our green frogs this is but there were dozens of them calling in the rain last night. I was lucky to spot this little guy because the lad is so excited by all the tadpoles & wanted me to find him a frog. During the day that's going to be pretty unlikely. Night time is better but of course he's gone home by then. Still, I got him a great pic!

The only one remotely interested was Wrold, who is broody again. 🙄 Lavender was always particularly bad & would stand in the rain until she resembled a wet dishrag.

I'm sure there is! I was dry & showered when I remembered I hadn't shut the gate properly because Wrold is broody again & I had planned on going out @ dark & putting her up on a roost. That never happened but I still had to go back out for the gate.😖

You are amazing @ how you can get all your animals to get along together.
