Beautiful morning here today. We've had so much bad weather it's really appreciated!

That's awful. So sorry that's happening.
It is sad.. anytime it rains a lot at once with no breaks it’ll flood in N.O... I’m sure you know that it sits below sea level and we have pumps to pump the water out but when lots of rain comes at once.. the pumps cannot keep up! I am not actually in N.O. so I personally don’t have to deal with this.. unless we have a hurricane sit on us.. that happened a few years ago when we lived in LaPlace which is West of N.O. ... hurricane Issac sat on us and the majority of the town was completely under water except right around where we lived... so we were spared a flooded home... thank God!

I've been wondering about you and the others on the forum from that area. I hope things can go as well as they can for everyone.

My ex-boyfriend moved to Bay St. Louis so now I listen for Mississippi weather and hope he gets nailed with it, but just him. It would serve him right! :lau

The man who struck Nick has been arrested, but of course justice moves at a snails pace, so he is currently free on bail. Trial is pending. It's a truly bizarre situation for sure. The guy claims he hit a deer, but Nick was walking on the side walk in the middle of town, there is no way he could have mistaken Nick for a deer.

Well, evidence weighs heavier than words, so I imagine it will go well in the end. If I can see how ludicrous that argument is, I'm sure the people working in your judicial system will too.
