Corn flour and water is an example of a non-Newtonian fluid. It's just fun to play with. When you squish it in your hand it fells hard and dry but when you relax your hand it just runs. You can add food colouring too. There are also recipes for "slime" on the net. That's always a favourite, but messy.Oooh, yes! Thank you, ACM. I'd forgotten the food dye one. I used to use celery. Beans & cotton wool I remember so I might do that. Neither child is very patient so I'm not sure how that will go. I have no idea what a non~Newtonian fluid is. It's been so long since I last did any of this stuff my brain is rusty. We did a variety of paper planes one week too & I may make up a picture treasure hunt one week. That should keep them busy for a while.
Oh don't tell me that! I carefully gather them up and place them in a sheltered spot outside. But I admit I have started carefully gathering them up and placing them carefully in the Chicken Palace, so I am as much a spider-murderer as you!
