Same colour as my Aussies laid ~ almost yellowish.she's not true to type, so her eggs aren't dark brown. Here's a photo of a few recent eggies. Janet's two on the left and two of Sandy's on the right.
Sandy's eggs never have a bloom on them, quite chalky. Janet's always bloom.

If you're not building for a few years, have you thought about planting a large native tree or shrub to the north of where you want your coop to go?

Not sure. I suspect the terminology is quite *loose*They must not be breeding for egg colour in Australia. But I thought it was in the standard? Not that it matters, I knew I wasn't buying top notch chookies.
