You are welcome. If you have the space it should be deeper, according to wood's Coops designs ~ which is sorta what I was working off. If I remember that's 12'.EDIT: 12' not 12"!!!!

Of the coops I've looked at so far, the Wichita cabin coop comes close to what I'm imagining but with a much larger run and a coop witb three walls, one side completely open. I'm also imagining a dropped floor beneath the roost (to function as a litter tray) with a fold-down or lift-out side to allow me to sweep spent litter out. Also, half the roof over the run will be mesh panels. The other half and over the coop will have proper roofing with deep eaves like @Kris5902 suggested, but here the eaves will provide shade and rain protection.

So, the plan is coming along, but there's still a way to go yet.

I haven't worked out the point of Pinterest yet...
And this is the first time I've bought anything on Etsy but I really wanted chookie buttons for the girl & they had these & they will be perfect for her rug. The wool is called *Fairy Mix* & it's quite bright in jewel colours ~ Ill post a pic eventually. The girl will adore it! Plus I'm crocheting her chookie coasters as well. She'll have quite the chook fest...
