Ribh's D'Coopage

Jeannie, have you seen all my goings on with my Silkie and her new adopted babies?
I have it all on KLIL thread but I also made a thread on raising chicks forum... Broody Silkie turned adoptive Mother..
It’s quite interesting AND fun :D
No. Sorry. I will check it out. I haven't been on KLIL's thread for a few days. I haven't had the energy to keep up. Thanks for bringing me up to date.:hugs

The wire is only 1/2 done & we've had 18mm overnight with more still falling! Much more of this & I shall push the panic button...:barnie

Oh no!!! Rain always seems to have the WORST timing!! :rant
I try not to complain one way or another about the weather as it’s gonna do what it’s gonna do no matter how much I gripe... but sometimes enough is enough.. or better yet... as the song goes.. “Rain, rain go away, please come back some OTHER day!”... “can’t you see I have a chicken coop to build!” :barnie

I know... coooorrrnnnyyy:oops:

lol The sad part is we so badly need the rain. I love we finally have it; it's just making building the coop a tad more difficult than need be. Never mind. This too shall pass.

The wire is done! :) Love how the green blends into the garden ~ & we DO NOT have predators! The wire is there to keep the chooks in, not other things out. I'm pretty happy with it. Hopefully the girls will be too.

A determined snake could get in I suppose, but not a carpet snake ~ the only ones I've ever known to try~ mice perhaps, but not a rat, & I have a treadle feeder for just that contingency. We do have raptors, which is why it is roofed, but not foxes or the like. Other people's dogs would be more of a concern but I don't think they could either as the slabs are set in the ground.
