Geez @Ribh, what trauma you've had lately!

Thanks, Bruce. Soda wasn't completely unexpected. She's been slowing for some time. Hepzibah was a shock but I am all good. I've dealt with far more traumatic deaths that were much harder to accept. They didn't suffer & were loved & cared for right up until the end.I wasn't aware that they doubled as wind speed and direction indicators! Useful attribute.

They did do very well. Reflects well on their keeper.Actually they were both over 6 ~ so they did well for bigger egg producers.
I'm so sorry Ribh. You're not having an easy time of it just now.Soda is gone too.
In all honesty I wasn't expecting to find her alive this morning.
A storm rolled through late afternoon. Most of the girls were on the patio. Not Soda. I thought she was in the shed as she has been napping there late afternoon but wherever she sheltered wasn't adequate as she was soaked through. I dried her off, but old lady that she was, she kept nodding off & when I carried her to roost I noticed that in just a few days she had lost all her condition & was as light as Olivia. Without Hepzibah I think she lost all will to live.
She was the last of my original 5.
This is my favourite photo of her. My 3 big girls were dustbathing together happily when along came Soda & plonked herself in the middle of them!At least she was comfy!

Yes I did; you're not going crazy.I just posted on Bob's thread that I love this. Hang on, did you post this there too?
I'm so confused. Must be bed time...![]()

Hi Jeannie, I'm doing fairly well, thanks for asking. I think things are getting better everyday, but my vertigo is still lingering and so is the pain in my shoulder, but over time they will pass. How are you doing, Sue? Have things improved for you?
I think that is what I said.It reflects very well on Ribh.
