This is a strawberry growing district. Our season generally starts about August & goes through September/October before it gets waaaay too hot. It will be weeks yet before I see any fruit & that is very dependent on me keeping the chooks away.

But it is mid winter there!

Yes it is but remember we are sub~tropical. We rarely get frost & it never snows. Daytime temps are pretty mild ~ apart from the fact a lot of fruit is obviously being grown under glass as we have a glut of raspberries, blueberries & strawberries despite the season.

It looks like that, but I was in her house. Her people are away from home this weekend, so I'm on cat and chicken double-duty.

She has a brown mark on her muzzle like Enzo! First time I noticed it I thought he had gotten into some soy sauce.

He did not have it when we brought him home. He has been with us just over a year now!
