A chicken laughing, that would really be neat to hear. On youtube I've heard a lot of parrots, swearing but, none of them laughing either.

Lavender, for all her pretensions, is something of a yob. I don't think she''s comfortable but @ least her vanity isn't offended by the way she looks, Some chooks get really upset when they look like this.

Thanks, Sue. Yeah, watching new friendships form is fascinating ~ especially with Lottie who has been a little chook in a big, big world all on her own for as long as I've had her. Suddenly there's all these new girls who are more or less her size ~ though she is still the smallest! She is spending equal amounts of time with the newbies & the Oldies.

Yes, it's awful. She's so pretty in full plumage. I am upping her protein a little & I can see all her new feathers coming through so hopefully she won't be like this for long.

It took poor Fudge over a month to get herself right when she moulted last year.
She was seriously depressed.
