Yes. Our humidity is already @ 76% so it will be hot before too long. I dumped a big pile of leaves in the coop last night so I knew they had foraging material until i could get to them this morning but it's not quite the same as the run & the run has nothing on the garden!

I'll be pleased when I can let them loose down the bottom as I don't like keeping them so confined even though it is necessary. I'm blessed they are still laying well despite the heat. One or 2 funny eggs on the really hot days but as they return to normal once the heat drops I haven't worried & put it down to heat stress.
I'm trying to give them as much run time as possible this week as next week they will be confined to the coop. I've just had to bit the bullet before my mother feels totally unloved!

I'll only be gone 3 or 4 days but they'll be stir crazy by the time I get back. I can't expect my man to chase chickens the way I do. I'm far more tolerant of their foibles...
