Ribh's D'Coopage

Today's profiles: Silver Laced Wyandotte bantams.

This is Wrold & Alpia.
Wrold has the much darker markings, which makes it easy to tell them apart. They are still very young, as you can tell from their combs & the lack of colour in their faces.

They are still slightly skittish, & like Lottie stand~offish. I don't mind that. If I wanted lap chickens I would have got me some more Favorelles.😒

Alpia.
Honestly, the lacing in this breed is spectacular! They have got to be one of the prettiest birds around.

Wrold ~ a little blurry unfortunately.

So long as I'm not making a grab for them they are very calm, quiet birds.
The Campines are screamers & the Araucanas are pretty chatty too.

They are as stunning as you said they would be. Just beautiful birds.

Thanks, Bob. I am a terrible sucker for pretty over productive but they are just so classy!

Simply stunning!

That's looks like 2 different hens but early on successive eggs can be very different.
Yes. That's why I'm not sure. The other one is in the coop now. If I get 2 eggs today I'll know for sure!

What drives me slightly crazy is everyone laying at different times, I have morning layers, afternoon layers, and evening layers... can we all just try to commit to maybe the same 4-5 hour period? Please :th

No cooperation at all. :gig

That will tell and it is another reason to get your eggs every day.
This one was dropped randomly in the pen ~ but any new layer is prone to do that. :hmm

Yep. Mine lay all over the place ~ even occasionally @ night, dropping them with a splat from the top roost. :barnie
