I know you had trouble with your Wyandotte but my batams are gorgeous personalities: placid, no fuss, easy~peasy girls who run really, really well with the Campines. My bigger girls find the Campines a bit much altogether! :lau Perhaps there is a difference between Oz & US birds or just breeders. I haven't tried the standards though. I was going to but in all honesty I don't want any more big girls.

I love them all. They are all special in their own way. I am so excited that my goofy flock has meshed. I love the littles and the big ones. Such different personalities just makes it more fun. :love

Yes indeed ~ but when has to choose ~ & I do~ then smaller birds means more in the space I have available & experience is teaching me which breeds mesh really well together. I don't understand why but Wyandotte bantams & Campines get along really, really well together but my bigger girls tend to bullying. I'd love some Ongadaris[sp??] or Phoenix but that's unlikely to happen. Have you seen the tail on those roosters? Where would I put him? And I have a terrible weakness for pretty & flighty. They do delight me more than the saner girls. :lau

I feel like I want to grab her and dust the furniture. :gig I'm so glad she has feathers again. I think she's adorable.

That's why I always make cetain whoever's is last in the pecking order gets their share. The chicken world is cruel but I try to make it a little more fair.

I have 3 feeders for 6 girls. That seems to be working. They do have food all day long.
