I have survived week one ~ though I'm a bit of a psychotic mess. So for those of you who enjoy trivia & words see if you know the correct meanings for these:

Wick

My publishing unit has suggested we all need to start a glossary for all the new technical words we are about to encounter but so far my vocab has been adequate for that. It is archaeology that made me do a double take. Up until told otherwise I had assumed mead was a sweet fermented honey wine & wick was something attached to a candle. I couldn't have been more wrong! A cursory google search was no help either & autocorrect assumed I wanted drones. A dictionary eventually solved the problem down amongst the dead OE

My brain went to fermented honey drink for mead (I've heard that's where honeymoon comes from: a moon (month) of mead drinking), and candles for wick, and drongo.
