Thank you all! I just downsized my flocks. Rehome all but five. My pair of Ameracaunas and my trio of Chocolate Orpington. And today went to pick up my new birds.... The two blues and her, a Lavender Amerecauna Hen, a Jubilee Orpington and a Blue Orpington pullet 4wks. Was going to integrate my 4wk old with this little sweetie because I thought it more appropriate since they were closer in age and size but this happened before. So now my Blue Orpington is in the chickery brooder with my two new royal palms and this lady is in her chicky hospital! What a day! All the new ladies have been super sweet and wonderful except those two blues. They are now in my timeout pens. SMH.
This one is super special above the other newbies because I searched high and low and finally found her. Was really looking for a bit older pullet that I could integrate into the adult flock. But she was fated to me......
I appreciate everyone's help and encouragement. It can be discouraging to have this happen on her first day home at such a young age.
Will keep you posted on her progress!
