RIR with bad eye

I have a broody acting RIR hen who has one eye with a very small pupil. No wounds, just a small pupil. She is sitting in a nest box almost all the time without any eggs, and I don't think she is laying.

Could the eye problem cause her to not lay?

I don't know about the eye problem but the reason she isn't laying and sitting in he nest box might be because she's broody and if she is you could get her an egg to hatch out but if you don't after 2 weeks ish they normally get over that and come out again and slowly begin to lay again.
She also might be egg bound. So she might have an egg that is shellless and she's having problems with.

I have a BO with a small pupil. Not sure when we first noticed it but we do now know she is part blind if not completely blind in that eye.

Thanks for the replies. I'll check her for any problems with eggs, but the more I think about it, she just went broody. When my banty hen went broody, she would get off the nest for the bigger birds to lay, but this one won't budge for the others.
