I couldn't tell ya. I would assume he isn't an avian specialist, rather a general livestock type of doc. However, when we were leaving the clinic we saw a flock of chickens not a quarter of a mile on our way back home. So I would imagine that he knows what he is doing to some degree.....Hes so pretty.
Can we get more information? Is the vet an Avian vet or just winging it? What did they have to say?
We were, but we have since thrown out our layer and started to give everyone all flock, with egg shells on the side.Just make sure you’re not feeding him layer feed. The extra calcium can cause damage to internal organs in a rooster
