Rooster attacked ducks eye!

I really don’t see any need for that. Especially if he tries to scratch it off and injures his eye with his nails.

Ya agreed someone said to try and cover it so his eye can stay closed but ill just put Vaseline and cover his pen with a towel

I would leave it uncovered.

If you can find an ophthalmic ointment like Terramycin or Vetericyn eye gel to put in the eye whenever you flush it, that would be great.

If he were mine i would be using eye ointment several times a day and I would leave it uncovered.

Instead of Vaseline I think it might be better to use Neosporin because Vaseline can allow bacteria to grow, but Neosporin won't.

I've had nice roos before. he actually is a cockerel bc he is over a year old but roo is so much easier to type out. he has matured and I never had a problem with him attacking me like I have had with previous ones.people can have nice roosters I've heard of people having lap roosters lol.but thanks for your input and I wish you the best for your roos.

His vision has not seem to improved but it does still need more time only been 3 daysany idea if that fatty tissue at the bottom of his eye will ever go away?
