Hello! I’m new to this site AND to chickens! We just recently added 3 hens to our existing flock of 3 (2 hens and a rooster). One of the 3 new hens is very timid and is taking longer to find her place in the pecking order than the others. She’s staying away from all the others and is still laying her eggs in the makeshift coop we’re using in the quarantine run out of a doghouse. Today I watched our rooster go into the doghouse and roll her egg out into the grass! Has anyone encountered this and know why he did this?
Thanks!

I have heard of broody hens stealing eggs from adjacent nests, but have no IDEA why a rooster would do such :idunno
No harm ,,,,, then no problem:thumbsup
