Rooster started humping my TV remote.šŸ˜±

For those that have an issue with itā€” Why not go worry about these guys that actually ARE unhappy...

Agreed.

Cramped, living in their own filth, debeaked, bullied, and trampled. Most farm chickens live this life. Some even have heart attacks when they bring them to the slaughterhouse.

This needs to be handled with instead of loving and caring for a rooster is considered cruelty.

If he is rehomed he will likely end up stew, why is being in a pot better than being happy in @Hei 20 s appartment?
Youā€™re assume heā€™d end up in stew. Find a place that wonā€™t eat him. There are rescue farms everywhere, one just has to put in some effort and look. Put an ad up and make a contract that states he is not intended for consumption. Like an adoption contract. You saying the rooster is happy is like saying Cinderella was happy in her tower.

It's not like he's locked inside all day. He has grass, and plants to destroy. You can also tell by his behavior he is happy. @Hei 20 will know when Hei Hei is unhappy and can then try and find him a farm.

ā€œRescue farmsā€ are almost always overfull. Which is partly due to the fact that thereā€™s so many people that want to get rid of their roosters.

The rescue farms around here honestly look miserable for birds. It sounds good... but whatā€™s inside is a totally different story. Most end up needing to be rescued from the rescue!!
