Yes you can...but you'll get something that resembles a Brown red

Yes it is....Do you have an APA or ABA standard? I drew a Brown Red Modern Game for the ABA standard book. Brown Red is the golden/red version of Birchen which is the silver version...both varieties are known as "crow-wing color patterns) Silver Blue, Lemon Blue, are some other crow-wing color combos.

I do not have a standard. So I didnt know. I really like my RCs and I feel like I want anyother color. But I am trying to tell myself to wait till you have Lavenders!

I can honestly say at this point, Rosecombs are my favorite for looks. I'm liking the personalities on mine too.

I believe Brown Red is a recognized variety... check rosecomb.com I believe... Katherine's site.

Way 2 go, PG... Matt, you should've done more reseach... Im guilty of the same thing. I bought wheaten oegb eggs to start my wheaten project and was talking about it to a rosecomb fella and he was like... ah... why don't you just get them from so and so

so.. now I have wheatens. To my defense.. so and so was not on the internet and is one of only 2 breeders known in the US

OK, so Im all excited... I spoke with Leslie Bennet at the Frederick show and was goo goo ga ga over her prize winning roo. Guess what?

I can't wait to get him. He's been cleaning up all season and now he's mine! ahhaahahahahha Anyway, now I am ready to part with my roo. He's been a good boy but, I just need to switch it up. Im selling him and a hen of my choice to whomever wants them. I'll use Leslie's box and charge you $50 shipping and $40 for the pair.

Here he is in all his glory last Spring...He's gone downhill since then but still looks sharp. He's great with his ladies and isn't real flighty. I toss out food and he eats off of my foot when I drop a piece... I will really miss him. He's been the anchor of my flock, is the first to sound the alert when there's a predator I'll try to get pics of the girl tomorrow
