4 months is a little too young.
Wait a few more months.

Also..don't give your birds more than one tablespoon worth or whatever treat you are handing out.
Feeding too much of any treat takes away from a complete balanced diet.

If you feed more than a tablespoon you are feeding too much.

Diet plays a super important role in their health.
