I'm going to be orally worming my chickens with Safeguard 10% this week. I have smaller-than-normal banty chicks approx. 6 moths old. Normal sized Bantys & Barred Rocks. What is the dosage I should be using? I'e already wormed with Wazine 7 days ago.
Thanks!!

I was told by my avian vet to give .5ml per kg (2.2 pounds). Can you weight them?

This is a weight chart that probably works for Barred Rocks

Yes, I can weigh them. Be very time consuming as I have 50 birds. I have a couple that won't even weigh 2 #'s. Would the safeguard hurt them? They are the "runts" I call them.

No need to weigh all of them, just weigh the runts, a couple of the rocks and a couple of the bantams and that should give you a ballpark idea of how much they weigh. I have de-wormed 100 gram chicks before, so you'll be fine! If you need help figuring out the doses, just let me know their weights.

Do I give the Safeguard straight out of the bottle or do I have to mix it with water? I've read somme ppl have done both.
