In the mid-80s, those places were BUSY!!! The day after Christmas was INSANE.
Yes they were!! When I was a kid I worked in a photography store, they sold all kinds of cameras, equipment, and 24hr. developed everything. With a car stereo store next to it my check was gone before I got it :D. Color was done by machine and B&W in the dark room. They would do all the developing for the local police and sheriffs. I was one of the guys who didnt mind developing the police photos (all B&W). Some didnt have the stomach for it. After all these years some of those photos are still scratched into my brain!

Oh, I did my share of contact sheets, and some of them were for the police department. Contact sheets were BO-RING to do.

Sometimes, I did "projected" contact sheets. Those meant laying the negative strips out in a 10x10 glass carrier, and projecting that down onto a 16x20 sheet of paper. The 35mm film images were then big enough to actually see what was in them. But the set up was a major PITA to do.

Printing anything in a glass carrier was a major pain to do, but it was necessary for a lot of the work we did.

The visit with DH's college friend was wonderful. I didn't want to post her name without her permission. Diane Heater, an artist, and has a lot of her work on facebook.

She painted a picture for me, and said it was okay to post. I need to take a picture of it. It is beautiful, and will be something I treasure forever.

This is the painting Diane did for me. This does not do justice to the painting at all.

I need some kind of name for him. Suggestions? Is there a male form of the name Diane?

Google says Dianna is the goddess of nature and the hunt. So maybe Hunter or maybe Dion.

How about Dionysus? He was a Greek god.

The painting is gorgeous. I never was good with watercolors.
