San Diego Chicken meetup and Chat thread

Well I'm hoping some people will come get their bags from my house so I won't have to load so much...

Plus I wont be bringing my own bags or any extra I order to have on hand for people that want to buy some later...

Plus Nancy won't be there so i won't bring her order....

So that might be 81 but probably 30 or 40 I won't be bringing....

I might make my boyfriend come on this next one and we can bring both trucks if we need to.

hey guys, found this on craigslist, if anyone's interested there's also a pic

My husband and I made this coop to raise our 3 chicks (though you can fit more) from hatchlings until adulthood. We built a bigger more appropriate coop for them and no longer need this one. There's 1 handle on the sides for easy maneuvering, a top handle to pull the whole top up for easy access into the coop. This is a really nice and sturdy cage.
Dimensions- width: 2' 3" length: 4'
Email for more info or if you would like to come see it! Thanks for looking.

Cari - I can come get my order whenever you receive it... and if I haven't mentioned it lately, THANK YOU so much for doing this!!!

Marr77 - welcome! I love your signature line!

My little broody is still going strong. We moved her to a nice quiet corner in the tack room, and she seems to have settled down nicely. I wasn't sure if I was going to move her from the coop, but I noticed that during one of the few times she got up the other chickens weren't being so nice to her; it's like they were trying to keep her from going back in. My hubby attempted candling the eggs when we moved her (it would have been day 11), but he had a hard time seeing anything through the green eggs. I didn't want to stress Missy too much, so we just forgot about trying more. We'll see what happens soon enough!

Just throwing this out there...

In case none of my broody's eggs hatch, I'm planning on getting a few chicks for her. Who will have anything hatching around the 19th - 21st of this month? I'd love to get some more colored layers in my flock: EEs, Ameraucanas, Wellies, etc... My back up plan is getting some from Kahoots.

On a side note, does anybody know "Paige the Chicken Lady" in Ramona? She advertises on Craigslist. Right now she's advertising Black Stars; at least I'd know they'd all be pullets!

I apologize... apparently Modesto comes out with a new price list every month, of which I did not know about until just now... it seems some of the bags have gone up 50 cents or more... Please let me know if anyone wants to change their order because of this...

Sorry again!

Here it is;
