KKH  - when are you taking him in? Sure hope he's okay!  :(
Here are my roosters feet, all bandaged up. The vet said the infection went through his foot. It was a pretty nasty infection. He certainly would die if I didn't bring him in. She opened his foot from bottom AND the top and flushed it out. A hole straight through his foot. Hopefully the infection hasn't gotten to the bone. Meds and daily bandage change for the next 2 weeks. The other foot has a little sore so they went ahead and cleaned it up and took care of that. I think the techs were pleased with their choice of bandages.

Speaking of roos. I still have 4 pet quality SFH boys I'm looking for homes for. All nice, all getting along right now. All fed organic soy free food.

Hi All,

I am new to this and looking to see if anyone has any silkie, buff, rhode island or polish pullets for sale. Also, is there a particular breed you suggest we start out with for a beginner?
oops... previous welcome message was is for you!

I let my daughter talk me into incubating eggs from my bantam cochin/? mix and my bantam cochin/modern game roo. Then yesterday the hen in question went broody. I transferred the eggs from the incubator to her nest. So in a week, I may have teensy tiny babies. What have I done???

I think we have 11 eggs still developing. (they are small, so they fit under her).

I'm so good at meets. I never come home with extra chickens. It's the d*mn incubator and broodies that will kill me. (Daughter wants to keep 1-2 of the babies if they hatch. 2 bantams = 1 chicken, right?)
