Hi folks
my 10 month old sebright who has been laying for a few months now, keeps going back to her nest and staying there for a long time, and emerging without egg. She's totally healthy overall, eating, perky, everything seems alright.
Is this typical of how they slow down for the winter? Or does it sound like something is wrong? she seems to get pretty restless about going to her nest, but nothing comes of it. it's only been a few days but that's how she generally is, fussy before she lays, and sometimes sits there for a LONG time (and emerges with egg).
I am guessing that this is normal and could just be how she is, plus its getting colder and colder, but i wanted to see if there are any signs that I should watch out for.
No other hen is showing any signs of illness either.
