Semi-wild muscovy duck questions

Johntfs that would have been useful information days ago but not now. I did my research on keeping them alive and healthy not on the law's, however the local police are aware of the situation there were 2 officers parked in the park and they saw me bring them in. They seem to be doing better now they found a spot that is out of the territory of the other muscovy drakes. It's a little spot where a lot of the mallards hang out. I'm glad they are all sticking together no matter what

The cops there either didn't know the law or didn't care. As I understand it, the main thing Florida is concerned about duckwise is mallards because native mottled ducks are being hybridized toward extinction. In Florida, not only are you required to have a permit to keep mallard, you're required to keep them in cages to prevent them from escaping.

It's been a few days I've been back every day to check on them all ducks are well, the muscovy drakes at the park have stopped picking on them and accepted them into their pack. When it comes to the water they will get in the shallow parts and splash around and clean themselves, but they wont go in and swim around the pond or across it. I have tried just picking up 1 and throwing him in but he just came right out. Should I try to get multiple people to kind of round them into the water? Or pick up them all and throw them in? Or should I just leave it and let them figure it out for themselves?

they will know when they are ready, Ducks arent completely water proof untill all their feathers have matured

Also being they didn’t have a mama duck they aren’t going to pick up things as fast and predators live under water too large mouth bass and the worst snapping turtles. So just let them get use to everything on their own. At least the drakes an other ducks have accepted them best teachers there are.

Ok thank you, one last thing I am concerned about whenever they are going about nusrat walking around the pond one of them is always berh far behind the rest and kind of wobbly looking, I'll try to get it on video. Her name is pipsqueak she was the tiniest one ever since they were 1 day old

She needs help a duck showing any sign of injury or weakness is going to get picked off. Maybe a niacin deficiency or a injury or a birth defect but she needs help.
