I'm just glad that Andy got smart in his old age and has decided to come back home. For such a long time he stayed away and wouldn't talk about Mt. Airy. I guess all the glitz and gilmer of Hollywood blinded him to what his humble upbringing did for him.

If ya'll have never been to Mayberry--Mt. Airy it's a lovely little town. Just of I-77, just below the NC-VA border. Stop by on your way to more glamorus places like Charleston, Myrtle Beach, or Disney. I'm sure Mayberry Saint will put you up for the night

I have only been a member of this community for a couple of months, and I have to say this is the best forum I have found on the Internet by far.

The main reason I feel this way is there is no flamers to speak of here. I don't know if that's the result of dilligent moderators, or if us chicken-type people are just nicer and more polite than most, or both; but whatever the reason I am thankful for it. The members here are informed, sincere, and truly want to connect with and help the people who post here with a question or problem, and have better things to do than abuse people.

I get so sick of going to a forum and asking a question looking for a serious and informed answer, only to get flamed by immature, idiotic bullies with miserable lives and need to take it out on strangers. I left the clique behavior long behind me in junior high school, and that's where it's going to stay.

To those who wrote about banning whatever, you have a right to your opinion, but as long as the content is allowed here, people have as much right to post it as you have a right not to like it. There's a LOT of stuff I personally don't like on the Internet (like the aformentioned flamer forums) and you know what I do? I realize my tastes are different than others and pass it right on by.

Don't forget Wally's Service Station (where Gomer worked) and the town jail..., and the famous Mayberry Days festival...lol.
I would love to have a few BYC members visit. I have a spare bedroom as long as you don't mind a possum or two (see my thread from last night "I'm Freakin' Out!!!"
