Maybe you could find an old single bed (minus the mattresses) and turn it into a chick brooder? Hey, if there is a will, then there is a way, right?

Well, one built from that size, you would be able to put more chicks into it. But, you could alway's go to a double sized bed frame or more if you needed to.
