September Hatch-A-Long!

Shipped eggs have arrived and out to settle prior to placing in the bator. How long do I let them settle at room temp for? 8, 12, 24 hours?

This is crazy. I've been stressing over my first hatch (day 18!) And getting the new coops done and its all drove me mad. I've been swearing that I would not be hatching ever again because of loosing all my hair freaking out over the incubator being unreliable....

And what do I find myself doing on my break? Sketching up ideas for a new, bigger incubator! Lol you guys are bad for me!!

. Just got them today. I've slept since my last hatching and couldn't remember how long to leave them out. My hens have started to lay again and decided I'd time it a little better this time. If they go broody I'll let them hatch their own and whatever is hatched from the bator will be placed with any they hatch since they'll be born at roughly the same time. It's much easier to let the mommas raise them than me doing it. What temps do you hatch at?

Congrats to all of you new baby parents. Mine went in lockdown yesterday.Humidity spiked at first but it is leveled off at about 60% now.

Well my 8th and final chick finally hatched at 3am on day 23. (5 didn't make it to hatch).

I have 7 healthy chicks but I'm worried about No. 8 chick, it doesn't seem quite right. Does anyone have any ideas from the pics

It sticks it's left leg out and props itself up on its beak to balance. And is it just me or is its head a funny shape?
