Well my 8th and final chick finally hatched at 3am on day 23. (5 didn't make it to hatch).

I have 7 healthy chicks but I'm worried about No. 8 chick, it doesn't seem quite right. Does anyone have any ideas from the pics

It sticks it's left leg out and props itself up on its beak to balance. And is it just me or is its head a funny shape?
aww...it's hard to tell from the picture...have to physically checked it for deformities? it could just still be getting it's bearings!

very upset I have to cull one of my babies it is crippled and I have tried to straighten the toes and then the leg went crippled and I braced the leg and the toes and then it just falls over and the others are picking so I think they know. I just can't bring myself to do it but I know it is suffering. My question is what methods has everybody used to cull a chick that seems painless? I would prefer it goes to sleep instead of chopping its head off if you get my drift. TIA for suggestions as to what works best for everybody
